Amy has been hairstyling since 1995. She was just barely out of high school when she eagerly enrolled in Jocelyn Daspit Beauty College excited to learn everything there was to know about cutting, coloring, and styling hair. In 2005, Amy opened her first salon, Allerton Salon, that suffered the unfortunate blows of Hurricane Katrina and closed late August 2005. In August 2011, Amy opened La Vie Jolie where she currently works behind the chair as a stylist. While she does hold her academic degrees in counseling(B.S. Social Counseling, M.A. Counseling), she prefers to just listen from behind the chair, enjoying her craft and the art of hairdressing.
As a hairdresser, Amy is a Beth Minardi Certified Hair Colorist and Certified in Brazilian Blowout and Coppola Keratin Treatment. La Vie Jolie is also proudly a Moroccan Oil Loyalty Salon. Amy has also enjoyed learning the special techniques in advance haircutting training through The Vidal Sassoon Academy.
Professionally, La Vie Jolie , meaning 'the beautiful life' represents everything Amy has always envisioned in a salon; a place of relaxation for guests to leave feeling better than when they walked in, physically and emotionally. Nothing is better than feeling your best possible version of yourself!
Personally, Amy's greatest joy is her family! She shares her life with her husband, Michael and their three children, Jake, Ally, and Brady.
